ARENA PROFILES

William David Andrews (Voice) returns to the stage after a busy summer during which he appeared in the Civic's production of Fiddler on the Roof and Arena's The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Other community stage credits include The Philadelphia Story, Comedy of Errors and The Secret Garden. Among William's proudest theatrical achievements is having been certified a Master Technician at the Civic's 1997 Anthony Awards.

Tracy Buckmaster (Voice) takes time out from her career as a Preschool teacher to "voice" her talents again at Arena. Her past theatrical credits include roles in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Of Thee I Sing, Oliver!, and L'il Abner. When not in rehearsals, Tracy likes to spend her free time with her friends and her dog, Roxie.

Rick Chandler (Voice) marks his theatrical debut on this or any other stage with They're Playing Our Song. A maintenance technician with Comcast Cable Company, Rick enjoys a variety of activities from music to hunting and fishing.

Julie Donnell (Sonia) is an award-winning actress/singer who has appeared in numerous productions throughout the summit city. Among her favorites are Barnum (Jenny Lind), The Music Man (Marian), and two productions of Nunsense (Sr. Mary-Amnesia), all for the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre. Arena audiences will remember her as April in Stephen Sondheim's Company. A professional voice instructor, Julie takes time out from her hectic schedule to indulge in such passions as travelling and curling up with a good book.

Todd S. Frymier (Vernon) makes his second appearance on our stage after playing fussy Felix Unger in last season's The Odd Couple. Having trained with Second City in Chicago and The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, the versatile local performer has played roles ranging from Albert in Bye, Bye Birdie, to Jerry in Zoo Story, and Seymore in Little Shop of Horrors.

Ross Hullett (Voice) lists such roles as Mortimer in Arsenic and Old Lace and Motel Kamzoil in Fiddler on the Roof among his credits. A past National College Speech qualifier, Ross is currently active with the "On Broadway Dancers" troupe in Chicago.

Tina Miller-Irmscher (Voice) is a pharmaceutical sales representative who, with They're Playing Our Song, is embarking on her first theatrical endeavor since "college days". A past member of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Chorus, Tina enjoys travelling and spending quality time with her four greyhounds and two cats.

Christy Reising (Voice) was last seen at Arena in this summer's Whorehouse. Elsewhere, she has been involved in such productions as Starting Here, Starting Now at Grey Lite and The Miss Firecracker Contest at First Pres. On the other side of the footlights, Christy directed a 1996 production of Wrong Turn at Lungfish. "Hugs and kisses to all my family and friends for their love and support through everything!

Jennifer Harrison (Director) is certainly no stranger to Fort Wayne theatregoers. Recent years have found her in such diverse roles as the murderess Roxie Hart in Chicago (Arena "Best Actress" Award), Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, and Fiona in Brigadoon (Anthony Award). Audiences may, however, be unaware of Jennifer's considerable directing credits. For the stage, she has directed productions of Godspell, Jesus Christ Superstar, Passport to Broadway, and Mr. Potato Head; and, as a producer/director at Whirlwind Pictures, she has directed a wide variety of projects including several Addy Award-winning commercials.

Jeanette Snyder (Music Director/Pianist) would like to "thank Jenny, Sheniqua, and the wonderful cast and crew for making this show so much fun to rehearse!" The Wayne High School music teacher has worked her musical magic, with practically every theatre group in town, having directed music for, among others, Arena's A Funny Thing Happened.. and Once Upon A Mattress, and Civic's Mama's Turn.

Stephanie A. May (Stage Manager) comes up for her third consecutive time at bat here at Arena. Before retiring to the back-stage area for this show, she was seen onstage as one of the occupants in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and as Rosalind Hay in Moon over Buffalo. Her other local credits include roles in Joseph... at Civic, Miss Firecracker Contest at First Pres., and Indiana Voices at PIT.
