"Cheaper by the Dozen" Based on the book by Frank B. Gilbreth and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey Dramatized by Christopher Sergel Directed by Lori David April 1992 FROM THE DIRECTOR'S CHAIR Being allowed the privilege to direct Cheaper By the Dozen has been one of my most rewarding theatrical experiences. Blending the experience and age levels of the actors and actresses into an ensemble performance has truly been exciting to witness. Actresses and actors of all ages working together and learning from each other is such an important aspect of a successful experience of quality theatre. My sincere appreciation to The Grey Lite Players Board of Directors for their support and assistance throughout this production. At many times during the performance you may become awed at the events which occur, but anything can happen when there's a large group of people living under one roof (especially if the majority of those are brothers and sisters!) Please, sit back and enjoy as the tale of life in the big family of the Gilbreths is told as it truly was! Cheaper By the Dozen is brought to you in part by a grant from Kappa Kappa Kappa.
