Grey Lite Theatre presents
"Guys and Dolls"
Music and Lyrics by Frank Loesser
Based on a story and characters by Damon Runyon
Directed by Susan J. Nelson
Set against the color of New York City's highlights and low life, Guys and Dolls is an entertaining fable of love, marriage and temperance on Damon Runyon's Broadway. The story of Guys and Dolls sets Nathan Detroit, operator of a legendary floating crap game, evading marriage to Adelaide, his chorus girl fiancee of fourteen years, against high rolling Sky Masterson who revels in his reputation as a notorious gambler and womanizer. But when Nathan bets Sky that even he cannot sweep Miss Sarah Brown, the prim mission lass, off to Havana, everyone gets more than they bargained for. The cast of Guys and Dolls creatively portrays the story, as well as the songs and dances.
As director, I am privileged to be able to work with such a wonderful and talented cast, crew and staff. New and familiar faces have joined the Grey Lite Players to bring you this musical comedy. Thank you for being with us, and thank you for lending your talents. YOU ARE SPECIAL!
Thank you to our friends at Westland Mall for being so supportive and encouraging during our new venture- Theatre on the Mall.
And now, please sit back, relax and enjoy Guys and Dolls!
