Grey Lite Theatre presents

"Wrong Turn at Lungfish"
By Garry Marshall and Lowell Ganz
Directed by Christy Reising

Director's Notes

Two years ago, after a long summer of hard work, a few of us made a joyous car trip to the glorious shores of Lake Michigan to relax our tired bones in a tent. After a night of little sleep and much laughter, we began our voyage to Mt. Baldie. For being a rest-oriented vacation, the twenty minute climb up hot, shifting sand was quite a workout, but as we reached the peak, the view was breathtakingly worth the work. Regardless of who roginially discovered this natural beauty for the general populous, the glow of the white sand and dclairty of the azure water demonstrated why the human mind is so worthwhile. Enjoy this evening as another demonstration of why we took the right turn at lungfish.

What is a lungfish, you may be asking yourself. Simply put, it is a fish with both gills and a lung. The lungfish cannot survive using its lung alone; it needs the water to breathe. It is, however, able to survive in low muckish waters. Evolution, according to our show, started "...with bugs, then fish, then lungfish, then animals, then apes, then people." Did we take a "Wrong Turn at Lungfish"? If we did, where would we be...Angels?

The Cast Bios

FRED DOUSE (Peter) - Another dose of Douse. It's Fred speaking and yeah, I'm in another show at Grey Lite, working with the same wonderful people and an awesome cast. I just want to say, "Hi Mom, and thank you for everything you've done for me." "Love and Kisses" to all of my family and friends who are here tonight. Just sit back and enjoy the show. See ya on stage!

KENRA CLAUSER (Nurse) - Nurse by night, teacher by day. What a woman! And in the past, a neurotic wife (Marriage of Bette & Boo - First Pres.), a woman with a vivid imagination (Marie and Bruce - Alternative Tehatre Company), a simple Irish girl (Dancing at Lughnasa - Civic), a saucy maid (Ghosts - First Pres.), and a virgin Spanish maid, Honest! (House of Bernarda Alba - First Pres.). OH AND I CAN'T FORGET, directgor of the infamous FISH PLAY. Thank you family and friends -- I LOVE YOU.

STEPHANIE ANNE MAY (Anita) - Well, I'm back at Grey Lite. Anyone remember me from Broadway 2's, 3's and More or City of Angels? It's been a while 'cuz I've been spending time at the Civic doing Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and at Arena doing Chicago and Who's on First. I've also done the Murder Mysteries for Bower/North. I'm so happy to be working with all my friends again! I want to say I love you to my friends and family and thanks for putting up with all my mood changes. And a special "Hi" to little Alexis--Auntie Stephie loves you!

MATT DIEHL (Dominic) - Hello! My name is Matt Diehl! People calls me Matt Diehl. This is my first show on the Grey Lite stage. I am a Music Education student at IPFW with a concentration in Voice. Other than my high school productions, I was Diesel in West Side Story and Dr. Bond/Matador/chorus in Meet Me in St. Louis, both at Center Stage Theatre. I would especially like to thank my family for all of their love and support. I love you all!
